This marks the first time we interviewed an English speaking artist. Logan “Biggoron” Tucker (or simply “Tuck”), talked to us about his recent work, but also about how DoD has evolved from a prominently metal oriented competition, to allow for a more diverse selection of styles and genres, such as pop, funk and jazz. As is the case with jnWake, it turns out that keyboard players can now aspire to take home the gold with a solo synth track, for instance.
The track he provided as backing music for the alt was extremely polished, and it took an already emotional source to the next level. Tuck decided to cover “Victory Lap” from Mario Kart 64, in compliance with the theme for Party Month, since we needed music from a local multiplayer game. The track has also been released as part of the very funky EP “Memory Pak 3”, which includes two other N64 tracks.
Thanks to Tuck for helping us inaugurate the English version of our podcast! We couldn’t have hoped for a better way to start off.
DoD Entry (English):
Unfortunately, we suffered from technical difficulties in this recording, so the audio quality of the English voices ended up being subpar. We are working to prevent that in the future!

DoD Entry (Spanish):
We decided to keep the bilingual nature of the series, this time dubbing it into Spanish with the help of TheManPF, another participant and part of the ops team for DoD.
